Sustainable Aviation Guidance Alliance: Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Sustainability Program at Airports
Abstract
The Sustainable Aviation Guidance Alliance (SAGA) was created in 2008 to assist airport operators in planning, implementing, and maintaining a sustainability program. SAGA has organized and used existing airport sustainability guidelines and requirements to be used by airports of all sizes. The document describes the meaning of sustainability; how to develop, implement, and maintain a sustainability program; provides examples of existing sustainability programs; and includes a SAGA Sustainability Database with suggested sustainability practices and measures.
