Public Involvement: Your Guide to Participating in the Transportation Planning and Programming Process
Abstract
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) prepared this public involvement guide to transportation planning and programming. The primary objectives of this public involvement guide are to educate citizens about the planning and programming processes, explain where in those processes the public can participate, and explain how the public’s input will be used.
