FAA Aviation Emissions and Air Quality Handbook

Abstract

The Aviation Emissions and Air Quality Handbook developed by the FAA was created to assist air quality and/or environmental specialists in assessing air quality at airports and air bases across the United States. It includes procedures, guidance, and methodologies on how to best assess air quality at airports. It is a tool to assist airports in ensuring that all air quality assessments meet requirements established by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the federal Clean Air Act (CAA), and other laws and regulations that pertain to air quality at airports.
