Project Information

The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as well as special-purpose environmental laws and regulations designed for particular purposes necessitate thorough environmental impact analyses for airport initiatives subject to FAA approval.

NEPA encompasses a range of activities, such as evaluating new and revised Airport Layout Plans (ALPs), reviewing applications for funding under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) or Passenger Facility Charge (PFC), and assessing other federal actions intended to facilitate airport development projects.

This training program for airport staff and stakeholders offers a comprehensive overview of NEPA regulations and their relevance to airport management and daily operations.
