Resiliency is the capacity to adjust to evolving circumstances, endure disruptions caused by emergencies and other changes—including climate change—and recover from disruptions.
Climate change poses multifaceted threats to airport operations and resiliency.
With factors like tidal flooding, rising sea levels, increasing heat, and more intense storms endangering a growing number of airports, it is imperative for airport operators to reevaluate their infrastructure plans, accounting for both immediate and long-term climate risks, and place a higher emphasis on building resiliency.
This course is designed to impart foundational knowledge on resilience and illustrate how airports can leverage resiliency strategies to anticipate, handle, and mitigate disruptive events.
Airport Resiliency and Climate Adaptation training is recommended for the following airport roles:
- Operations Staff
- Airport Tenants
- Technical Staff
