Project Information

The FAA remains dedicated to collaborating with the aviation industry to further mitigate aircraft noise. The agency actively supports a range of initiatives aimed at decreasing the number of individuals affected by substantial aviation noise.

These initiatives encompass improving both aircraft engine and airframe technologies to minimize noise, fuel consumption, and emissions.

The FAA also engages with communities to address or reduce land use conflicts near airports, alongside offering federal funding to mitigate the negative effects of aircraft noise on nearby residences and schools.

This training, designed for airport personnel and stakeholders, offers a comprehensive overview of noise impacts and regulations and their specific application to aviation.
