Risk-taking behaviors of moped\/scooter riders include speeding, riding under the influence of drugs and\/or alcohol, riding without a helmet, riding with improper safety gear, riding without proper training and skills, failing to yield right-of-way, etc. To improve the efficacy of interventions at the individual level, efforts must address known risk factors and crash characteristics.
