At this level, the goal is to establish societal norms for both moped\/scooter riders and motorists so that they can share public roads safely, thereby minimizing crashes, injuries, and fatalities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#c24e00\"><strong>Moped and Scooter Safety<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Moped\/scooter laws and regulations are highly variable across states, which often leads to confusion among riders, law enforcement, and licensing\/registration officials. Some key areas where those discrepancies are commonly observed are highlighted below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Different license requirements by state: <\/strong>Across jurisdictions, moped\/scooter licensing requirements range from a state ID card to a standard license or motorcycle endorsement.
