{"id":316,"date":"2023-07-28T00:23:30","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T00:23:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webresources-uat.com\/bts19\/?page_id=316"},"modified":"2023-07-28T00:23:30","modified_gmt":"2023-07-28T00:23:30","slug":"virginia","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/crp.trb.org\/btscrpwebresource2\/mitigation-tools\/policy-level\/interactive-map\/virginia\/","title":{"rendered":"Virginia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#9d2f00\"><strong>Motorcycle:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cevery motor vehicle designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground and is capable of traveling at speeds in excess of 35 miles per hour. \u2018Motorcycle\u2019 does not include any \u2018autocycle,\u2019 \u2018electric personal assistive mobility device,\u2019 \u2018electric power-assisted bicycle,\u2019 \u2018farm tractor,\u2019 \u2018golf cart,\u2019 \u2018moped,\u2019 \u2018motorized skateboard or scooter,\u2019 \u2018utility vehicle,\u2019 or \u2018wheelchair or wheelchair conveyance\u2019 as defined in this section.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#9d2f00\"><strong>Motor-Driven Cycle:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cevery motorcycle that has a gasoline engine that (i) displaces less than 150 cubic centimeters; (ii) has a seat less than 24 inches in height, measured from the middle of the seat perpendicular to the ground; and (iii) has no manufacturer-issued vehicle identification number.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#9d2f00\"><strong>Moped:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cevery vehicle that travels on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground that (i) has a seat that is no less than 24 inches in height, measured from the middle of the seat perpendicular to the ground; (ii) has a gasoline, electric, or hybrid motor that (a) displaces 50 cubic centimeters or less or (b) has an input of 1500 watts or less; (iii) is power-driven, with or without pedals that allow propulsion by human power; and (iv) is not operated at speeds in excess of 35 miles per hour. \u2018Moped\u2019 does not include an electric power-assisted bicycle or a motorized skateboard or scooter. For purposes of this title, a moped shall be a motorcycle when operated at speeds in excess of 35 miles per hour.
