E-training Modules

The following demo videos of two e-training modules can be used as reference tools for users to develop and customize their own self-paced e-training modules on moped/scooter safety and helmet use. The Scooter Safety Module video showcases the “Scoot Smart; It’s Serious Fun!” e-training module. This video demonstrates a model curriculum for general moped/scooter safety. Using the state of Florida as an example, this module aims to educate participants on moped/scooter laws in the state, make riders aware of the skills needed to ride, shift participants’ perspectives on riding risk, and raise their awareness of potential hazards. The Scooter Helmet Module video showcases the “How to Select a Helmet,” e-training module, which is generalized for use throughout the United States. This module covers helmet parts and their function, traumatic brain injury awareness, and helmet selection and fit.
