Safety Tools

Before performing any airfield electrical tasks, staff involved should always be aware of the risks and hazards present and become familiarized with necessary safety procedures to promote a safe work environment. Flame resistant coverings, high voltage gloves, and non-contact voltage detectors are some examples of safety equipment which adds additional layers of safety by protecting, insulating, or distancing electricians from some of the hazards of high-voltage work conducted on the airfield.

These photos are solely for example purposes and equipment appropriate to each task should be identified before starting work.
