Machine Learning (ML)

Advanced computational algorithms based on mathematical or statistical models, used for both supervised learning tasks (e.g., classification, regression) and unsupervised learning tasks (e.g., clustering, dimension reduction). ML models are trained on a subset of data (training set) and then model performance is tested on previously unseen data (test set).
