An organization’s structure can either promote innovative values and allow them to permeate throughout or create impasses for innovation to take hold in a culture. Organizational structures define the relationships between people and positions at an airport. They also determine the formal system for tasks and reporting relationships that control, coordinate, and motivate employees so that they collaborate to achieve an airport’s goals.<\/p>\n
Understanding how their organizational structures can impact a culture of innovation will assist a leader <\/strong>in understanding how to reorganize or augment a structure to reinforce the innovation they are seeking. Considering the organizational structure and potential changes is a tangible action for leaders to demonstrate to their colleagues and team members that a culture supporting innovation is both valued and desired. Additionally, staff <\/strong>members can play key roles in supporting the organization’s journey toward creating a culture of innovation by learning how to collaborate with other business functions and identify key changes to promote the new culture of innovation.<\/p>\n Overall, having the entire organization aligned with a clear focus on the purpose and outcomes of an innovative culture will position the team to provide holistic financial support to this pursuit.<\/p>\n This is a Deep Dive page.
