Abstract:

The Complainant alleged that a lack of proper wayfinding and signage in the airport guest parking lot resulted in an accident between the Complainant and the airport’s shuttle driver. Further, the Complainant alleged a violation of Advisory Circular (AC) 150/5360- 13A - Airport Terminal Planning. Based on the facts provided in the complaint, an alleged violation of the AC does not support a claim under Part 16. See 14 C.F.R. § 16.1. The AC is merely guidance, except for specific circumstances, and not applicable here based on the facts alleged in the complaint, according to the Director.

For this reason, the complaint was dismissed with prejudice pursuant to 14 C.F.R. §16.25(1). FAA Docket No. 16-18-05 is closed.
